What's confusing about the Jonas Brothers and Selena Gomez? First, we still aren't sure that Selena Gomez was a replacement for Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus as rumors of break ups and make ups between the adorable teen starlet and Nick Jonas slither through the entertainment media each and every day.

But that's not the problem. According to a report from In Touch Weekly Selena is trying to keep the kids straight. The report details, "Don't expect Selena Gomez to guest star on the Jonas Brothers' new sitcom, J.O.N.A.S.! "We don't want to confuse the kids by me being on every [Disney Channel] show," Selena told In Touch at a UNICEF event in New York on October 24.

"Right now, I'm focusing on my show, Wizards of Waverly Place. We're trying to get Demi Lovato to come on - I might go on her show, Welcome to Mollywood - and I've already done Hannah Montana."

That said, the report claims that Selena is enjoying her proximity to Nick (her rumored ex or current depending on the day), Kevin and Joe, and adds, "The Jonas Brothers are shooting their show on my lot, so I see the every day!"

Taylor Swift spent a good chunk of time earlier this year insisting that she and Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers were just good friends, despite her popping in as a musical guest during some of their concerts.

Turns out there was more to it, but it didn’t wind up with a fairytale ending like the one in her recent “Love Story” single and video.

The 18-year-old singing and songwriting phenom is being feted Tuesday, the release date for her second album, “Fearless,” on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” In the course of her discussion with host Ellen DeGeneres, she talks about her recent breakup with Jonas, which she said took place over the phone.

“It’s all right, I’m cool,” Swift says, sounding as though she's shedding few teardrops on her guitar over this one. “You know what? It’s like, when I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful, and when I look at that person, I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18… It was like a record, I think. For how quick. I looked at the call log, it was like 27 seconds… That’s an ouch.”

DeGeneres takes a bit of the sting away during the show, treating Swift to a surprise appearance by Justin Timberlake.

Meanwhile, Swift has had to combat a false report making its way across the Internet that she's pregnant.

It’s "impossible, and....impossible," she has told Access Hollywood. "It's so crazy when you spend your entire life and all of your energy trying to be a good person and trying to be a good role model and trying to make the right decision and you make the right decisions and you make the right choices and people make things up about you. It’s a little offensive, actually.”

Easy: by paying someone. For example, at the recent Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals benefit in Las Vegas, the Jonas Brothers received a bunch of very nice Xbox equipment (consoles, Lips, Guitar Hero World Tour, etc.).

The Xbox people hired a gifting firm called Distinctive Assets to ensure that only authentic Jonases received the booty. They built a lounge and staffed it with gifting gurus who weeded out stars from grifters. So when the Jonas Bros. came through, their purity rings gleaming, they were personally connected with their gifts, and everyone went away happy.

But maybe you don't have an extra $5,000 to $20,000 for this. Or you just want to send Miley Cyrus a teddy bear. Your gift has a better chance of hitting home with a few simple tips...

First of all, forget the publicists. I've heard tales of publicity firms with rooms full of gifts meant for celebrities—and destined for the grubby hands of personal flacks.

"Instead, contact their managers or an agent if the managers aren't helpful," says Liz Dennery Sanders of the publicity and celebrity outreach firm Dennery Marks Inc. "Make friends with the assistants there if you can, and follow up three or four days later, keeping the chat to three, three and a half minutes, tops."

Where to find such people? Subscribe to the celebrity directory service WhoRepresents.com. Or Lash Fary at Distinctive Assets also recommends IMDB Pro as a good alternative reference.

Once you find that agent or manager, don't hold your breath waiting for a response.

"We've done a lot of gifting for Miley Cyrus," Dennery Sanders dishes, "but we haven't gotten a lot of response from her."

The Jonas Brothers are taking their dreamy selves to the big screen, with a little help from a seriously flatulent canine.

Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, along with younger brother Frankie (aka the Bonus Jonas) will make their first feature-film foray toplining Walter the Farting Dog. Based on the hugely popular kid books, the film focuses on some musical siblings (apparently the Jonases subscribe to the Method acting camp) who must take care of their aunt's odiferous pooch.

Brace yourselves, Disney fans. The Jonas Brothers are about to get bigger than ever!

The teen pop stars have signed on to make their big screen debut in Walter The Farting Dog, the trade journal Variety reports.

The boys will appear alongside their younger brother Frankie – sometimes known as the "Bonus Jonas" – in the film, which is scheduled to start shooting in Spring 2009.

Based on a bestselling series of books by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray, the movie casts the teen heartthrobs as musicians whose sickly great-aunt asks them to care for her stupendously smelly canine companion.

"By the time they've driven the dog home, everybody's head is out the window of the family station wagon," said Peter Farrelly – half of the famous Farrelly Brothers directing team – who has been closely involved in developing the film. "But Frankie has a serious sinus problem and doesn't notice the stench coming from Walter."

So while his siblings provide the music, Frankie and the gaseous pooch get involved in a series of family-friendly adventures, eventually thwarting a team of jewel thieves.

This may be their first major movie, but Nick, Joe and Kevin are certainly no strangers to the camera. Their TV flick Camp Rock was a mega-hit, and they're now preparing for their own Disney series, J*O*N*A*S.
